More classic in style, with fresher acids, the 2010 Artisan Blend is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot that spent 24 months in 60% new French oak. Black currants, underbrush, cedar, earth and some herbal/minty notes are just some of the nuances here, and this medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated and rich effort has fine tannin, integrated acidity and solid overall balance. Drink it over the coming decade.
