Our Syrah from Hedges Vineyard in Red Mountain embodies the region's signature power and intensity, yet carries an elegance all its own. Fermented whole cluster and aged for 24 months in 500L French oak puncheons, it develops remarkable complexity while maintaining its vibrancy. Racked only once at 15 months, it preserves both structure and finesse, capturing the bold character of Red Mountain while delivering a polished, inviting finish.
Deep, rich berry notes and the savory notes of grilled meats—hallmarks of Syrah—are complemented by a velvety texture and refined tannins in our 2022 Syrah. Expect an exciting nose bursting with notes of smoked brisket, wild blackberries, and caper brine. Hints of anise and vanilla from oak aging add a subtle essence of sweetness.
