Chardonnay has long been a favorite and a staple in our lineup, and our Conley Vineyard Chardonnay remains our boldest white wine. Treated more like a red in its aging process, it undergoes an extended 18-month élevage, with one racking at 12 months and a second to tank for bottling. This extended time on the lees enhances its rich, velvety texture. Fermented in primarily neutral oak with a modest portion of new barrels, this vintage shows a slightly more pronounced oak profile than in past years. With a smaller lot and some topping loss, the new oak proportion edged closer to 25%, resulting in a bit more structure and oak influence while still maintaining balance. The result is a wine that pairs power with refinement, offering a layered and expressive vintage of Conley Vineyard Chardonnay.
Deep gold in the glass. The nose leads with tropical pineapple and golden apple, backed by vanilla and clove. Oak is more present than previous vintages, lending a rich, creamy character throughout. A full-bodied and generous Chardonnay!
