This is our sixth Malbec from Conley Vineyard, a site that continues to be one of our most important and reliable sources of fruit. The combination of climate, elevation, and farming consistently yields high-quality grapes, and over time we’ve come to better understand how this vineyard wants to express itself. In 2023, we leaned into that character with slightly extended maceration on the skins, resulting in greater depth, structure, and richness. The wine still sees a combination of French and American oak, supporting a broad and layered profile. The result is a fuller, more powerful expression of Conley Malbec that reflects the natural strength of the site while maintaining balance.
Deep, inky purple to the core. The nose is generous with strawberry jam, black cherry, and purple florals, layered with vanilla and cedar spice. On the palate, the wine is rich and velvety with a well-structured frame; dark fruit and sweet indications of new oak are carried by a full, plush body through a long, warming finish. Malbec lovers: get excited for another gem.
