2025 Orange Cuvée

 

This is our fifth vintage of Orange Cuvée, and with each release we continue to refine our approach to making a bright, aromatic, and lightly textured sparkling orange wine. While the blend shifts slightly from year to year, the philosophy remains the same: organically grown fruit, native fermentations, gentle skin contact, and bottle fermentation.

 

For the 2025 vintage, Muscat Ottonel once again makes up the largest portion of the blend (39.9%), bringing back more of the floral and citrus character that has become a hallmark of this wine. Notes of orange blossom, mandarin, apricot, and fresh citrus peel are balanced by the subtle texture that comes from a short time on the skins.

 

As with previous vintages, the skin contact contributes a pleasant bitterness, similar to the character found in Italian aperitifs like Aperol or Campari, but without noticeable tannin or astringency. With a little additional bottle age, that light bitterness softens and becomes more integrated.

 

Sourced from several organically farmed vineyard sites across Washington State, Orange Cuvée continues to explore the space between orange wine and pétillant naturel. It's one of the more distinctive wines we make and continues to evolve with each vintage.
